2nd Round of Auditions!!!

Hello everyone!!! Hope everyone is staying safe out there.  We are looking to add a second audition date and since we cancelled so many times we want to see what works best for you.  They will be 7:00pm-9:00pm.  Reply to this post  or email Nubia Gomez: lovefortheatre@gmail.com with either Monday, February 3rd or Wednesday, February 5th.  :D

**CANCELLATION**

Caledonia Community Schools is closed today due to weather as well. Unfortunately auditions will be cancelled tonight once again. We still plan for auditions this Wednesday, January 29th from 7:00-9:00pm in room #301. Due to a volume of requests we will also add Monday, February, 3rd 7:00p-9:00pm as well.  Audition space for Monday is TBD.  If you are unable to make these auditions please contact Nubia Gomez: lovefortheatre@gmail.com

NEW AUDITION DATE ADDED!!!

Due to Saturday's cancellation we will be adding a second audition in addition to the auditions on Monday, January 27th.  They will be held Wednesday, January 29th from 7:00pm-9:00pm at Duncan Lake Middle School in room #302.  Look forward to seeing you all!!! RAPUNZEL AUDITION INFORMATION

AUDITION INFORMATION

Saturday January 25th 10:00am-Noon at Duncan Lakes Middle School Room #301

Monday January 27th 7:00pm-9:00pm (Venue TBA)

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

• Please come prepared with 16-32 measures of music.  An accompanist is provided.  Please No CD's or A-Capella.
• Be prepared for movement
• There will be cold readings from the script.  
• Ages High School & Older

CASTING

Cast size:Small Anywhere from 2-10 people
Cast Type:Ensemble Cast - Many featured roles (possibly 2 people playing all roles)
Dance requirement: minimal

Character Breakdown

COBBLER: Rapunzel’s true father. He must resort to stealing in order to survive. Poor, starving, desperate.
Male, 30-40 yrs old
Range: C4 - B4

COBBLER'S WIFE: Rapunzel’s true mother. Poor, starving and desperate, she urges her husband to steal food from the witch next door.
Female, 30-40 yrs old
Range: C4 - B4

KING: Brian’s neglectful father, he wishes his son were a better prince. Enjoys exercising his power as king.
Male, 35-45 yrs old
Range: C4 - E5

PRINCE BRIAN: Feels he is a disappointment to his father because he doesn’t live up to the heroic qualities a prince should have. An earnest, kind, and gentle soul.
Male, 18-25 yrs old
Range: C3 - G5

RAPUNZEL: Our story's protagonist. Innocent and trusting, she is eager about life's ups and downs. Yearns to see and experience the world. Naïve as to how things work in the world outside her tower.
Female, 15-18 yrs old

SIMON THE VALET: The Prince’s trusted servant. Dry and cynical. Quick on his feet. Always gets caught up in Prince Brian’s plans.
Male, 30-40 yrs old

WITCH: Our story's villainous antagonist. Overprotective, with a nasty deposition, she lacks patience and understanding. Her short temper makes her quick to turn someone into a vegetable.
